WINDY BEAUTY OF THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA

Korsika...Corsica...or Corse - how the natives call their beautiful island. This place is definitely one of my all time favorites! Not only because of the wonderful beaches - but because: it has it all! Mountains, dreamy little cities, lovely bars and restaurants.

I've only been there twice but I would always go back! As soon as you arrive in Corsica you'll notice that this island is one of the last, that hasn't been occupied by thousands of tourists yet. That's one of the reasons why you seriously can become one with the breathtaking nature around you!

So just relax and unwind while you look at my following photo diary! Enjoy! :)

I bet you have seen this picture before! If you don't know what I'm talking about...it's the picture in my header..hahaha. The city shown is called Bastia. Most of the ferries arrive there.

This is just one example of how the beaches look like here in Corsica.

Look at how clear the water is!

Just one example of old buildings dipped in romantic summer evening light.

This picture was taken in Bonifacio. That's a really cute city on the far south of the island. Bonifacio has it's own haven and a lot of beautiful little restaurants and cafés. If you walk up to the citadel you have a beautiful view over the never ending sea and a couple of really cool looking cliffs! Starting there, you have a lot of opportunities to go shopping or to just stroll around.

You might also see this place along your way. That's actually a cemetery - but I've never seen such a beautiful one before!

Those pictures are examples of cute little cafés and restaurants in Porto-Veccio...or at least somewhere close.

You'll see hundreds of small churches and many citadels.

As you can see on the following pictures: You will be confronted with the beauty of the nature!

If you actually decide to spend your vacation on Corsica, you should definitely also visit the Parc Naturel Régional de Corse and the Monte Cinto! Not only the beaches are worth looking at but the beautiful landscapes in the middle of Corsica. If you are lucky, you will probably get the chance to shower under a small waterfall.

There's also a big variety of hiking tours you can do!

Sometimes you might take a glance at lakes...

Along your way you will see a lot of tiny cities - which could have also been on the cover of travel magazines or postcards.

Sadly, I don't really remember where these two pictures were taken...but I like them anyways :)

The last three pictures are from a market in Ajaccio - the capital city of Corsica. If you look beforehand, you'll be able to visit a lot of these all over my - and maybe soonish your - favorite island.

I hope I could some of you convince to spend their next summer on Corsica! But seriously?! Isn't it beautiful over there?

WHAT PHOTOGRAPHY MEANS TO ME

Photography is a really big deal when talking about my life. You could probably even say I’m a little obsessed. But I guess everybody has a little something that he or she can’t live without, right?

I personally love catching a beautiful moment in a photo. I think it’s the most special feeling when you some day decide to clean up…and then there randomly happens to appear a picture from your high school graduation or your 10th birthday party you already forgot about. It feels like 100 years away but for a blink of an eye you feel like being thrown back in time and you know exactly how you felt about saying goodbye to all of your friends or how this awesome cake of your grandmother tasted like.

Believe it or not I think pictures make you happy since you get the chance to remember memories you made for a second time. If you would ask me which kinds of pictures I like the most I would answer “The one's that aren’t faked, the one's that were taken when you least expected it because those are the one's to depict your personality the best!”

A lot of people hate those kinds of pictures of themselves, but the truth is: most of the people around them do. Because in those moments you are real – your eyes, your laughter and your whole loveable and kind character is reflected the best.

So don’t always use the posed pictures on social media or any other place really - because you are prettiest when you don’t intend to!

Love you beautiful!

EYES ARE THE MIRROR OF THE SOUL

So much emotion in just three pictures. These are already about two years old but oh boy they're still some of my all time favorites. I don't know why but there's just something about that autumnal light, right?
